Web TV interview focusing on demand acceleration (in Swedish)

In the latest episode of GovTech Sweden’s web TV magazine, Liza-Maria Norlin meets Lina Svensberg and Ann-Sophie Gustafsson, who share more about DigitalWell Arena’s demand accelerator.

The programme provides, among other things, a deeper explanation of the ideas behind the concept. The starting point is that part of the enormous sums spent on public procurement can become a driving force for the public sector and companies to jointly develop new digital health services.

The programme gives a thorough overview of the very first procurement in the demand accelerator. Karlstad Municipality will shortly present the company and the digital solution they will continue working with to increase understanding of cognitive impairment in care.

Along the way, no fewer than seven companies have been procured and participated in the innovation process – which in many ways redraws the map of what public procurement can look like.

– It is a challenge to say that we don’t just want to buy what you have in your basket – we want to be involved in developing new services. It is an entirely new way of approaching this challenge, and it also leads to new processes for procurement and innovation, says Ann-Sophie Gustafsson, Development Manager for Welfare Technology and Digitalisation at Karlstad Municipality.
